Zero Data Retention (ZDR)

A contractual and technical guarantee that an AI provider will not store a customer's prompts, files, or outputs after processing them, rather than retaining that data for training or logging. Enterprises can now enforce this automatically across their whole organization instead of relying on each employee to opt in correctly.
As AI vendors increasingly want to use customer interactions to improve their models, ZDR is becoming the key lever boards and compliance teams use to prevent sensitive company data from silently ending up in a third party's training pipeline.
