Definition
A new category of data-protection tools that back up and can roll back not just an AI agent's output data, but its memory, configuration, and connected infrastructure — so a compromised or malfunctioning agent can be restored to a known-good state. It treats the AI agent itself as something needing backup, like a server or database.
Why it matters
Without this, an agent that is hijacked, corrupted, or goes rogue can be very hard to safely undo, prolonging outages and incident response; it directly answers real incidents of runaway or compromised AI agents.
