What happened
Cohesity launched (Sept 16, 2026, at its Catalyst conference) Cohesity Agent Resilience, a Data Cloud capability that discovers, protects, and backs up AI agent memory/configuration so agents and impacted resources can be rolled back to a trusted state after a rogue or compromised run; also outlined an 'Autonomous Cyber Resilience' roadmap.
Why it matters
First major data-protection vendor move to treat AI agents themselves (not just their data) as backup/recovery objects, directly answering incidents like Mandiant's reported $50K runaway-agent cloud bill and other agent-hijacking cases surfacing in September.
