These four controls form layered protection around a working AI agent. The MCP gateway and the policy gate decide which external tools an agent may call, the containment layer runs the agent in an isolated cage so it cannot break out, and the runtime kill switch lets operators stop an agent immediately if it turns rogue. Together they let you trust an agent, yet still verify what it touches and be able to shut it down.
