What happened
On June 23, 2026, Dragos released EmberAI — an AI assistant built natively on the Dragos Intelligence Fabric (the world's largest OT cybersecurity dataset, comprising 10+ years of ICS incident response, adversary tracking, and OT vulnerability research). EmberAI correlates asset data, network activity, threat intelligence, and vulnerability data with the customer's operational context to give analysts at any experience level immediate access to OT-specific guidance.
Why it matters
OT/ICS security suffers a critical skills gap — there are very few analysts who understand both OT protocols and cyber threats. EmberAI is the first purpose-built AI assistant grounded in a decade of real OT adversary data (not generic IT security training), directly addressing this skills scarcity for defenders of power grids, water systems, factories, and pipelines.
