What happened
Announced June 15, 2026 at Identiverse, CrowdStrike launched Continuous Identity for AI Agents as a new Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security capability. Powered by its $740M SGNL acquisition, it replaces static credentials with cryptographically verified SPIFFE identities, evaluates every agent action in real time against who owns the agent, who is calling it, and device risk posture, and enforces Zero Standing Privilege — access granted only for the instant required then revoked. Integrates with Falcon AIDR for intent inspection.
Why it matters
First GA capability from a major platform vendor that enforces continuous, context-aware authorization for AI agents at runtime — directly addresses the identity control gap that underlies most agentic AI security incidents. Falcon's install base means broad enterprise reach immediately.
Applicability
CrowdStrike Falcon customers deploying AI agents or MCP-connected workflows should evaluate immediately; IAM/security architects designing agentic access models should treat this as the reference implementation.
