What happened
On Nov 6, 2026 Kihan announced formation and its Constitutional Computing architecture: authority is written, signed and enforced outside the AI, with each consequential action checked against governing rules before execution and a cryptographically verifiable execution permit verified by the tool (no permit = no execution). First product Inktomi is in development — decision engine operational, production enforcement integrations under development, enterprise evaluations targeted for Dec 2026; research is a two-part IEEE Computer feature.
Why it matters
It proposes an enforceable-authorization design that separates AI capability from permission to act, distinct from instruction-based guardrails, and signals a new competitor in agent authorization/governance for regulated industries.
Applicability
Regulated industries (financial services, insurance, healthcare) evaluating agent authorization layers should monitor Inktomi; product is not GA so treat as a watch-list item.
