What happened
On Oct 28, Black Duck launched Signal Agentic Fix, an AI agent automating the full scan→triage→fix→validate→submit loop: deterministic SAST/SCA engines feed AI triage and fix generation, re-scan validates, and all changes route to a human with configurable compliance/approval gates. Early access for Claude Code now; Polaris/Coverity/Black Duck SCA pipeline integrations due in coming weeks.
Why it matters
It targets the two pressures AI has intensified for defenders — a swelling remediation backlog from AI-generated code and collapsing time-to-exploit — by pairing deterministic analysis with AI fixes and human guardrails, making agentic remediation trustworthy for regulated and safety-critical sectors.
Applicability
