Palo Alto Networks makes Idira Agent Identity Security GA and natively integrated with Prisma AIRS

SolutionsHigh impactGlobal
On Oct 22 Palo Alto Networks announced Idira's agentic identity security is now natively integrated with and generally available for Prisma AIRS AI Gateway. Every registered agent gets an OAuth 2.1 client identity issuing short-lived, time-bound tokens; fine-grained access policies are enforced at runtime by the AI Gateway, with MCP tool-use control, token/LLM management, and per-agent-plus-human audit/attribution.
It gives enterprises an identity-based control plane for AI agents (addresses untrusted identities, inherited human privileges, shadow agents, attribution blind spots, and static credential exposure) inside a broadly deployed AI application security platform, rather than a standalone SKU.
Prisma AIRS AI Gateway customers and any enterprise deploying agents should evaluate agent identity as the control mechanism; CISOs should pilot before broad agent rollout.
