What happened
On Oct 20, 2026 ThreatModeler launched NexusAI, an AI-powered threat-modeling partner inside the ThreatModeler Nexus platform. It automates model creation from natural language/diagrams/docs, accelerates threat and security-requirement analysis, and detects architectural changes to propose threat-model updates for human review, all on top of the Secure Design Graph.
Why it matters
Rather than a one-shot AI threat model, NexusAI makes threat modeling continuous and agentic — keeping models aligned as applications change at AI-development speed while keeping security experts in control of decisions, which directly addresses the AppSec backlog from AI-accelerated development.
Applicability
Security architecture and AppSec teams already using ThreatModeler/IriusRisk or evaluating threat-modeling automation should assess NexusAI as a way to scale threat-model coverage and drift-detection across thousands of applications.
