What happened
Check Point's Quantum R82.20 release (late Oct 2026) introduces AI Guardrails: detection/prevention of malicious prompts, unsafe or non-compliant content, and suspicious tool responses before they reach AI applications (alerts distinguish 'Matched Prompt/Response' from 'Matched Content').
Why it matters
It extends a mainstream enterprise firewall platform into AI-application protection, giving existing Check Point customers an inline AI-security control for prompt injection, content policy and tool-response filtering without a separate appliance.
Applicability
Check Point customers should enable AI Guardrails on AI-facing segments and validate coverage against their LLM/agent traffic before relying on it as the AI boundary.
