What happened
On Oct 14 NeuBird announced GA of ARC, the governance layer powering its Production Ops Agent: one metered connection to telemetry and LLMs, a shared version-controlled memory of every human/agent investigation, human-in-the-loop policy gates on every action, and new MCP support letting Claude Code/Cursor/Codex and internal agents inherit the same access, guardrails and audit trail. Every action is logged; runs cloud/VPC/on-prem/air-gapped.
Why it matters
ARC tackles the production-agent governance gap — enterprises can't say what agents did, what they cost, or who approved it. It converges observability, memory, and policy gate into one governed surface that third-party IDE agents plug into via MCP, and is SOC 2 Type II with a full audit trail — representative of the emerging 'governed agent infrastructure' layer.
Applicability
Platform/SRE and security teams governing production-touching agents (IDE assistants, homegrown bots) should evaluate ARC for unified audit, spend metering, and approval gates before scaling agentic ops.
