What happened
DeepKeep announced AI Lens for Developers (Oct 8-9), a lightweight plug-in (not a full endpoint agent) that intercepts coding-agent activity before and after execution via hooks — blocking credentials/tokens in prompts, flagging insecure generated code patterns and destructive shell commands for human approval, with a full audit log per session and a Policy Hub for role/org-level allow/block/audit rules. Supports Cursor and Claude Code now; Copilot, Codex, Lovable, Windsurf planned.
Why it matters
Coding agents with file/shell/MCP access are a top-tier endpoint risk (OpenAI/Hugging Face incident cited); this fills the visibility-and-enforcement gap without adding another endpoint client footprint, addressing a hot enterprise pain point.
Applicability
Security teams governing developer endpoints where Cursor/Claude Code run; evaluate as a lighter-weight alternative to full endpoint AI-security agents, alongside Cycode Workstation and Zenity.
