Okta adds Agent Gateway runtime enforcement, Shadow AI Agent Discovery for Endpoints, and forms Blueprint Alliance (AWS, CrowdStrike, Google, Wiz, Zscaler, etc.)

At Oktane Sept 22 Okta announced Agent Gateway (runtime policy enforcement + token/session kill-switch in the agent execution path), Shadow AI Agent Discovery for Endpoints, agent SSO with short-lived tokens, and co-founded the 12-vendor Blueprint Alliance to open its agent-security framework into a multivendor reference architecture tested across MCP/OCSF/Shared Signals.

Brings runtime enforcement and revocation to agent identity at a mass-market scale and standardizes cross-vendor agent-containment (token revoke, session termination, quarantine) — the first credible shared agent-security architecture from major platform vendors.

Enterprises standardizing agent identity/authorization; IAM teams should pilot Agent Gateway for high-risk agent tool calls and track Blueprint Alliance open standards for cross-vendor signals.
