On Sept 22, 2026 Darktrace made SECURE AI generally available, adding AI-visibility, behavioral understanding of people and agents, policy-alignment assessment and response to its Behavioral Defense Platform. Telemetry shows 80%+ of its ~8,200 customer deployments used GenAI in August, averaging five AI providers per org.
Why it matters
Brings behavioral detection (not just discovery/inventory) to AI and agentic usage, filling the shadow-AI governance gap in a mainstream enterprise security platform; pairs with OpenAI Daybreak models under the Daybreak Defense Network.
