Okta ships osquery-based shadow AI agent detection (24 checks)

Okta released a set of 24 osquery-based detections (part of Okta Verify) on macOS and Windows that identify unauthorized/unmanaged local AI tools via processes, services, ports, installed apps, and container artifacts, published Sept 15, 2026.

Extends identity/endpoint posture management to catch shadow AI usage before it becomes an unmanaged non-human identity risk, complementing Okta's broader AI agent identity push.

Okta customers running endpoint posture checks; security teams needing shadow-AI visibility should enable these checks now.
