What happened
Rubrik announced (Sept 15, 2026) Code Guardian, a custom Claude Mythos 5 harness that runs frontier-model red-teaming against air-gapped, immutable copies of customer source code to find and validate multi-step exploitable vulnerability chains, pushing confirmed issues to Jira/GitHub with remediation guidance. Currently accepting design partners for private preview.
Why it matters
Demonstrates frontier-model-powered vulnerability discovery deployed with a security-conscious architecture (isolated clone, never live repo/production) — a template other vendors are likely to follow for safely using capable coding/reasoning models on sensitive codebases.
Applicability
Security and AppSec teams evaluating AI-assisted code auditing with strong isolation guarantees; early design-partner stage, not yet broadly available.
