The NDA stated it will 'appropriately advance the construction of embodied-AI data standards' (适时推动具身智能数据标准建设), guide local data authorities on related work, and support enterprise investment in data resources, citing rapid growth in demand for high-quality, diverse, large-scale training data for embodied/humanoid AI. This layers a data-specific standards push on top of the existing national standard system for humanoid robots/embodied AI (effective since March 2026) and an industry benchmarking standard effective June 1, 2026.
