What happened
Akeyless announced (Sept 9, 2026) GA of Agentic Runtime Authority, a real-time intent-based access-control layer that evaluates AI agent actions against declared objectives and blocks policy-violating or task-exceeding activity, built atop SecretlessAI's credential-brokering model, plus new integrations (Claude Enterprise, OpenAI Codex, Bedrock AgentCore) and a live Agentic Access Dashboard with session termination and SIEM export.
Why it matters
Provides a production-ready 'kill switch' for agent actions at the moment of execution rather than only at credential-issuance time, addressing the gap that traditional access controls can't judge whether an in-session action is legitimate.
Applicability
Organizations running AI agents against production systems (coding agents, SaaS assistants) should evaluate runtime authorization as a complement to existing IAM/secrets management now that this is GA.
