F5 Workforce AI Security — agentless control over employee AI use and agent tool-call actions

SolutionsHigh impactGlobal
F5 announced (Sept 9, 2026) the upcoming availability (GA expected Oct 2026) of F5 Workforce AI Security, an agentless addition to its AI Security Platform that inspects and classifies MCP-server and agent tool calls before execution, allowing/blocking/modifying actions based on identity, access risk and data sensitivity, and extends discovery/policy to browsers, CLIs, and coding agents.
Moves AI governance from prompt-level monitoring to pre-execution control of agent actions across the whole workforce, addressing the 'borrowed authority' problem as agents inherit employee permissions.
Enterprises with broad employee use of AI assistants/coding agents should evaluate ahead of the October GA to establish tool-call policy before agentic workflows scale.
