What happened
On Sept 2, 2026, HiddenLayer announced a $100M Series B (Delta-v Capital led, with Microsoft's venture fund and Booz Allen Ventures participating) and unveiled Agent Harness Security, a new module extending its Agentic Runtime Security to secure autonomous AI coding agents at runtime.
Why it matters
AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) increasingly write and ship code with minimal human oversight; a dedicated runtime security layer for the 'harness' environment addresses a gap traditional AppSec tools don't cover.
