What happened
Wiz announced (published ~Aug 9, 2026) the Wiz Sensor for Developer Workstations, a Windows/macOS private-preview endpoint agent that detects malicious package installs at install time, flags suspicious behavior for automated (Blue Agent) analysis, maps blast radius via Wiz Security Graph, and governs AI-coding-tool usage on developer machines.
Why it matters
Recognizes developer workstations as a new security perimeter given recent AI-tooling supply-chain attacks (Shai-Hulud, Axios, s1ngularity) where coding agents and packages have direct access to credentials and cloud environments — extends CNAPP-style graph context down to the endpoint.
Applicability
Cloud security and AppSec teams already on Wiz who want endpoint-level visibility into AI coding agent and package risk; evaluate via private preview enrollment now, expect broader GA later.
