AWS partners with Anthropic and OpenAI to embed Continuum vulnerability detection into Claude Code, Codex, Kiro

SolutionsMedium impactGlobal
AWS announced (Aug 5, 2026) that AWS Continuum for code vulnerabilities (currently in Preview) is being extended directly into developer workflows via partnerships with Anthropic (Claude Code) and OpenAI (Codex), plus AWS's own Kiro, enabling on-demand vulnerability discovery, prioritization, validation and remediation at the point of code generation.
Embeds AI-native security scanning directly into the two dominant AI coding-agent ecosystems, shifting vulnerability detection left into the agentic development loop at the moment code is written rather than post-hoc in CI/CD.
AppSec and platform teams using Claude Code, Codex, or Kiro for AI-assisted development should evaluate Continuum preview access now.
