Microsoft adds AI pillar to Zero Trust Assessment and new DevSecOps pillar to Zero Trust Workshop

Microsoft announced (Aug 4, 2026) an expansion of its Zero Trust for AI strategy: a new AI-focused pillar in the automated Zero Trust Assessment tool, and a new DevSecOps pillar (15 control groups, 91 tasks) in the Zero Trust Workshop covering source code to cloud deployment for AI-assisted development.

Operationalizes Microsoft's March 2026 Zero Trust for AI strategy into concrete, automated posture assessment and prioritized remediation guidance for AI agents, Copilots, and AI-assisted CI/CD — moving from architecture guidance to actionable tooling at enterprise scale.
