What happened
Ping Identity announced (July 28, 2026) that its Identity for AI / Agent IAM Core capabilities are now available in Ping Advanced Identity Software, its self-managed deployment option, enabling on-prem, private-cloud, and air-gapped enterprises to register AI agents as first-class OAuth 2.0 identities with runtime authorization.
Why it matters
Extends agentic-identity governance to regulated/air-gapped enterprises (banking, government, healthcare) previously locked out of SaaS-only agent-IAM offerings, closing a real adoption gap.
Applicability
Regulated-industry security/identity teams with data-residency constraints evaluating agent IAM should assess this release now.
