What happened
ThreatDown announced (July 22, 2026) a synchronized expansion adding AI Visibility (full inventory of AI tools/shadow AI in use, with per-device tracking) and extending its ITDR module to govern non-human identities — service accounts, API tokens, OAuth credentials, machine identities — from its existing MDR console.
Why it matters
Targets two compounding blind spots (shadow AI usage and unmanaged machine identities) that most SMB/mid-market MDR customers currently have zero visibility into, without requiring a new console or agent.
Applicability
MSPs/MSSPs and ThreatDown MDR customers seeking baseline AI/NHI visibility should enable the new modules; relevant for orgs without dedicated AI-SPM tooling.
