What happened
Axonius announced (July 21, 2026, as part of Launch Week) the Axonius AI Agent (preview) — a native, context-aware security assistant with pre-configured specialist agents for inventory hygiene, EDR coverage gaps, adapter health, and compliance drift — plus the Axonius MCP Server (early access), which exposes the full Axonius asset model via natural-language queries to any AI tool, and Docs for AI (GA), machine-readable documentation for LLM ingestion.
Why it matters
Addresses a foundational gap for agentic security workflows: AI agents are only as good as the asset/exposure context they can query, and Axonius reports only 45% of organizations consolidate that data today — this gives any AI tool a governed, RBAC-respecting source of asset truth via MCP.
