Palo Alto Networks' Prisma AIRS AI Red Teaming module released (July 2026) a Custom Target Adapter, letting organizations scan any AI application/target via a standardized Python-script-based configuration, regardless of custom authentication, session handling, or response format — replacing prior custom-middleware requirements.

Incremental but practical extensibility improvement lowers the integration barrier for automated AI red-teaming coverage across heterogeneous, non-standard enterprise AI deployments.

Existing Prisma AIRS customers with bespoke/internal AI applications should adopt the adapter to broaden red-team scan coverage.
