What happened
Citrix announced (week of July 9, 2026) MCP Gateway functionality added to NetScaler AI Gateway, extending the platform's application-delivery and security controls to Model Context Protocol traffic, giving enterprises a single governed entry point for MCP clients and LLM/agent traffic.
Why it matters
Brings established enterprise ADC/security controls (visibility, policy, observability) to the rapidly-expanding and largely ungoverned MCP protocol layer, which has been a major source of vulnerabilities in 2026 (taint-style flaws, SSRF, auth bypass).
Applicability
